Kelly Ripa is an American actress and television personality born on October 2, 1970 in Camden County, New Jersey. Her mother is a homemaker, while her father is a labor union president and bus driver who has served as a freeholder for Camden County since 2004. Kelly Ripa studied at the Berlin Community School in Berlin, New Jersey and started to act during her high school days. Kelly Ripa starred in the school production of “The Ugly Duckling” during her senior year in high school.

During the late 1980s, Kelly Ripa landed a role on the show “Dance Party USA” which was shown in USA Network. In 1990, Kelly Ripa bagged a regular role as Hayley Vaughan Santos in the long-running soap opera “All My Children.” Audiences saw Kelly Ripa grow up in “All My Children”, and during her 12-year stint on the show, she garnered five Soap Opera Digest Awards.

In 2001, Kelly Ripa began multi-tasking after landing a co-hosting gig on the show “Live With Regis & Kelly,” opposite Regis Philbin. Kelly Ripa has been on the show for the last eight years. Aside from being the co-host of “Live,” Kelly Ripa has also done other shows such as the sitcom “Faith & Hope,” and guest appearances in shows “Ed,” “Go Diego Go,” and “Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time.”

In 1995, Kelly Ripa met actor Mark Consuelos on the set of “All My Children.” The two married in 1996 and have three children, Michael Joseph, born in 1997, Lola Grace, born in 2001 and Joaquin Antonio, born in 2003.

In December 2008, Cooper University Hospital named its women’s health facility “The Ripa Center for Women’s Health & Wellness at Cooper” as a tribute to Kelly Ripa and her family. Her parents first met in the said hospital in 1961, and Kelly Ripa herself has been a volunteer for the institution.
